This_is_me - 29 Nov 2004 19:21 - 19837 of 23498

A couple of years after we were first married was the first time my wife did the big Christmas dinner for my family. Everything was going well to impress her mother-in-law etc. until we got up (late) on Christmas morning, having left the Turkey in the oven with the timer set, to find that the oven had died! What a panic!

jj50 - 29 Nov 2004 19:25 - 19838 of 23498

TIM - Don't terrify amber, she's worried enough ......... although thinking about it, we had a power cut!!

chocolat - 29 Nov 2004 19:27 - 19839 of 23498

Speaking of this Christmas dinner malarkey...NOT - T_I_M you're priceless ;)
I don't know what all the fuss is about.
I've been doing it for years - whoever comes, comes - and we always invite the old dears who are on their own now, for sheer entertainment - all you need to do is crack open the bubbly as soon as you can open your eyes, and the rest just falls into place..
