Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Above posts hopefully will help to resolve this issue!

BrianTrayda - 20 Apr 2004 17:00 - 1987 of 7315

Read with interest..... mine shows same thing. Route from user to MoneyAm is always ok - which is why looking at everything else is ok.

4 times in the last 2 days a FTSE 100 auto-refresh heatmap game up and displayed the unobtainable error. Manual refresh re-connected it.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 20 Apr 2004 18:26 - 1988 of 7315

Thanks for those. I am looking at the moment.

ThePlayboy - 21 Apr 2004 07:48 - 1989 of 7315

Back to slow, not as slow as yesterday, just moved back form IR to trader and got logged out, had to log back in again!

prodman - 21 Apr 2004 10:37 - 1994 of 7315

Back to very slow again.

maddoctor - 21 Apr 2004 10:53 - 1995 of 7315

Ian , as a non - technie anything I say needs taking with a pinch of salt especially as I am on dialup but in respect of "slowness" , seems to me the adserver is very very slow now , anyway for me and annoying on the stockwatch waiting for the bar ads to load

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2004 11:23 - 1996 of 7315

maddoctor,

This would primarily be caused by the fact that you are on dial up, but I will pass this onto Jonathan to see if there is anything he can tweak.

Ian

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2004 11:30 - 1998 of 7315

maddoctor,

Just looking at the size of the advert on the top of the page that has just laoded for me, it is 15k. At that size, you would be looking at it taking around 2-3 seconds just to download that one advert.

If you couple that with the downloading of the HTML and the applets requried to run the side, it will always be fairly slow on dialup.

Broadband is so cheap now-adays, are you not able to upgrade?

maddoctor - 21 Apr 2004 11:42 - 1999 of 7315

TulletJ , just got broadband in my area , want to upgrade when I purchase a new computer and that is dependent over the next few months in being able to see my way to stop loosing!!!!

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2004 12:02 - 2000 of 7315

maddoctor,

stop investing ;)

J.

maddoctor - 21 Apr 2004 12:10 - 2001 of 7315

TulletJ , don't think you should be saying that , you'd lose a customer!!! :-))

ThePlayboy - 21 Apr 2004 12:12 - 2002 of 7315
