rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

Missed out today. Should have taken out more points than I did. Got a bit cautious.

had a further dabble shorting yesterday evening but was nowhere near brave enough to leave running o'night, so took paltry profits ...... of course, hindsight shows i should have clenched my buttocks and held on :-)

In profit for the day, but i always want the dam thing to go up for the feel good factor. Going out for a time with nothing running. Where too come close in UK?
