Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Well said, Davia,
And remember that those Polish taxi drivers are probably receiving 'child allowances' even if their kids still live in Poland.
As to blame, I put no blame on the Poles, but all on our wimpy, frightened to make a decision governments.
Labour, Conservatives and Liberals, very little between them.
UKIP is our only hope!
As for UKIP, the only reason I have not voted for them is because there was no candidate standing in my area, mind you I have joined UPIK as an official party member.
For anyone who thinks that UKIP are a one policy party (EU membership) I suggest a few minutes spent reading their manifesto may open eyes.
Goldfinger,
Very lol.

An Iraqi immigrant who wrongly claimed £35,000 in benefits claims he did it in order to follow Islamic law.
Majid Hussain received income support, housing benefit and a council tax reduction for 13 years - despite having a secret bank account worth £36,000.
The unemployed 62-year-old signed forms saying he did not have any undeclared savings - and now says that under sharia law he did not consider the money to belong to him.
He even read out extracts from the Koran in court today to bolster his argument

A minicab driver has been jailed for more than seven years for raping a passenger who fell asleep as he drove her home.
Vile Mohammed Shahin, 28, subjected his 20-year-old victim to what police described as a 'sickening attack' after picking her up in Leeds, West Yorkshire, where she had been on a night out.
It was later found that Shahin had switched off the GPS tracking system that monitored his vehicle’s movements from the moment the woman got in, suggesting he had a sinister motive from the outset.

going back about 28 posts, why should an unmarried mother de facto be classed as a slut and seeking benefits? ..... does no blame attach to the boy who put her in that position? ...... why is a bloke who sleeps with a lot of girls deemed to be "a bit of a lad" while a girl who enjoys a full sex life is deemed to be "a slut"?

Why not use condoms if you are a bloke, or if you are a slut then there is absolutely no need to get pregnant - unless you want to milk the benefit system in this country. I just cannot see the argument in favour of unmarried or married couples who keep having children and are totally incapable of paying for their upkeep and depend on the tax payers in this country to subsidise the care for their offspring.

As a floating voter (but this time certainly labour) I still feel the need to contribute to who gets what and its as simple as this.
If you have paid into the system ie tax and NI you are entittled to claim all benefits prior to Osbournes defunked Autumn Statement.
If you havent paid into the system eg, arranged marriages from asia etc etc and euro crowd coming in for freebies, you get nothing.
Its simple and as easy as that.
Obviously we would need to have some regulation on contribution years, but high earners, pensioners etc etc if you have paid in YOU GET IT. Free loaders if you havent paid in YOU DONT GET IT.......GO ELSEWHERE.

Elderly should sacrifice part of their pension or downsize their homes to cover OAP care bills, say Lib Dems
Ministers said OAPs should be encouraged to accept smaller pension payouts or move into smaller homes to help pay for their care
Comments, which come amid ongoing confusion over the future of elderly care funding, are likely to infuriate pensioners' groups

Hi GF,
Fully agree with your views, but I can't understand why as a floating voter, you would this time vote Labour.
Remember it was Labour that allowed the welfare state and immigration to get totally out of hand in this country.
Although due to public pressure they would not go fully back to their old ways, they would without doubt not tighten the rules re deserving/none deserving recipients as as much as Conservatives would, (they have stated as much).
Have you considered UKIP and looked at their policies.

Greekman, voters seems to have very short memories.
Labour imherited a fully functioning vibrant economy and during their prolonged period in power managed to smash that economy with their spend spend and let's spend a whole lot more policy. Doubling the national debt from something like 450 billion to nearly 1 trillion pounds. Immigration out of control, benefit system out of control and services such as the NHS, education creaking to the point of collapse. Labour took over ten years to create chaos, but the current government is lambasted for failing to put everything right in just two years
Obviously we should all vote Labour next time around and give them another chance to finally destroy the country. Vote Labour yer mugs!!
