Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

maddoctor,

Just looking at the size of the advert on the top of the page that has just laoded for me, it is 15k. At that size, you would be looking at it taking around 2-3 seconds just to download that one advert.

If you couple that with the downloading of the HTML and the applets requried to run the side, it will always be fairly slow on dialup.

Broadband is so cheap now-adays, are you not able to upgrade?

maddoctor - 21 Apr 2004 11:42 - 1999 of 7315

TulletJ , just got broadband in my area , want to upgrade when I purchase a new computer and that is dependent over the next few months in being able to see my way to stop loosing!!!!

Ian. A question. I am a Shares mag subscriber, but it has recently failed to get here until Friday. Am I able to read it on-line? The site message was that I needed to upgrade my subs to do this. Do I? If not, how do I access it online?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Apr 2004 10:07 - 2004 of 7315

maggot,

In answer to your question, yes you can read it online - I can add it onto your account - all I need you to do is E mail me with your subscription number which is the one that begins with three zero's (if you don't have it, please call Shares on 01444 475661.

(Don't post the number here is it is your personal subs number)

Thanks

Ian

Help. Have just upgraded to a windows XP machine. Now when I log in to Money AM I can end up with a blank screen. I first get the homepage, then the login page, then onto my chosen page. Sometimes this is blank.

I am also clicking on Stockwatch and this comes up as blank but the bottom of the screen indocates "Done". Still OK with my two other PC's. Wassup??

SC: Sounds like you need to download the Java VM plugin for your browser.

See http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

Microsoft have not yet enacted their new love-in with Sun, so you'll have to give them a little help . . .
