MONTERRICO METALS (MNA)

tudwick - 08 Jun 2006 15:36

Does anyone have any further views on these now that Garcia has won the election ? Surely they are still wildly undervalued considering the supposed size of the mine

queen1 - 10 Jun 2006 09:55 - 2 of 16

That is my take on it tudwick which is why I took the plunge yesterday. When I did the sp was already up 11p on the day so it was good to see the price continue to climb throughout. It looks like a key resistance level is approaching and if that can be broken I think 500p will once again be on the cards.

Tudwick, for those of us who are newer to the MNA story, please could you briefly recap what the likely impact of Garcia's election might be? Perhaps post it in the header, so all-comers can read it?

Thanks very much - thanks too for starting a new thread as previous offerings appeared a bit long in the tooth.

Dropping like a stone. I amazed yesterday's news didn't put the brakes on it a bit.

Is anyone in at present?

PapalPower - 02 Aug 2006 13:23 - 6 of 16

Long term play. Good for an investment for a few years.

The recent rise (over the last year) was on the back of rumours of a buy out........but it looks more and more likely of a partner deal, therefore, the money for the buy out is leaving, so its back to just the long term investors again.

queen1 - 02 Aug 2006 13:27 - 7 of 16

The last 6 weeks haven't been overly enjoyable soul traders but as PapalPower points out, one for the long-term.

Thanks for the clarification, PP and Queen1. I agree the long-term view - most of these small resources co's are. Will keep watching and waiting.

I have taken a positon here in MNA.

Very exciting prospects and grossly undervalued after the recent fall imo.

I think lots of shorts on MNA due to lack of news, however if you listen the interview in the links below, like I did, everything sounds fine, and indeed there is news coming on 2 fronts in around 4 weeks time.

Also, nice to hear that the Peruvian President said recently that this project "MUST GO AHEAD"....

If anyone has trouble opening the interview from the links above, then open WM or RP and then copy and past the link above into the "Open URL" on the players, and play directly from Windows Media player or Real Player.

Must be serious problems if the chairman and ceo have stepped down?

PapalPower - 21 Sep 2006 11:59 - 12 of 16

One has retired, and the other is leaving for a new assignment, and has simply moved from being Exec to Non-Exec at the moment.

Listen the interview..............the future is very bright :)

Threw some in the SIPP early doors. I did trade 'em 2-3 years ago. Great mover.
