Just thought I would open a thread to discuss the imminent sale of Thames Water by RWE, anyone any thoughts on this and who might be interested...

All I know is that if the sale is anything like Scottish Power buying Southern Water a few years ago then the buyer will come in and asset strip the company for all it's worth. Legions of workers will get the boot and efficiency will nose dive.
Oh and the water rates will more than likely go up. Nearly forgot that one!

Thames Water have recently appointed James Forbes and I wonder what his agenda will be, preparing for Demerger from RWE now I wonder what that will entail...

They got some stick last Sunday on Panaroma regarding water leaking the the fines which will be inposed on them for not fixing them.

They did but how pathetic was the programme turning up RWE headquarters in Germany with a tanker requesting some water please, is that why we pay our television licence, grow up BBC and produce a worthwhile programme...
