In the US tonight, the Dow Jones was last up 13.52 at 11,863.73. The S&P500 rose 2.15 to 1,351.73, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 14.89 to 2,314.88.

Good morning traders!

In Asia today, the Hang Seng closed the morning up 166.15 points at 17,841.39, while the Nikkei was recently up 170.6 points at 16,606.66.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for delivery in November, was 5 cents higher at $60.01 a barrel from $59.96 usd in late US trade.
