Hello traders!

In late afternoon trading in New York, the Dow Jones rose 27.05 to 12,135.48. The S&P500 was up 4.89 at 1,385.79 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 15.80 to 2,405.52.

In Asia today, the Hang Seng closed the morning up 8.26 points at 18,876.80, while the Nikkei was recently up 247.97 points at 16,270.46.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for delivery in December, was up 13 cents at $58.71 a barrel from $58.58 in late US trades overnight.
