In the US tonight, The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 4.71 points at
12,573.85, taking its eighth higher close in a row for the first time since March, 2003.
The S&P500 finished up 3.77 points at 1,448.39, extending its winning streak into a
sixth consecutive session. The last time the S&P500 had six gains in a row was in
November, 2006.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 8.43 points to 2,477.61.
In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning down 34.43 points at 20,313.44,
while the Nikkei was recently up 5.77 points at 17,670.46.
New York Mercantile Exchange's main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for
delivery in May, dropped 3 cents to $61.86 a barrel from $61.89 a barrel in late
trading in the US overnight.
