The Traders & Investors Club was established by active traders to provide the education and support necessary to equip private traders and investors with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their own financial decisions.
Those of you who are unfamiliar with what we do can find out more about the Club here:

The next Traders & Investors Club meeting takes place at the Kensington Close Hotel at 7.00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday 19th June.
We have two excellent presentations in prospect:
Investment Strategies - Which Is The Right One For You?
All investors, whether they know it or not, fall into one or more categories of investment strategist. It is important to be clear, when establishing objectives and attitude to risk, what sort of strategy you intend to pursue. Dr Stephen Barber of Selftrade will present an overview of the options available to you. Amongst other strategies, he will discuss the relative merits of Value, Growth and Contrarian Investing.
Investing In Commodities
We are all aware of the current boom in Commodity prices, which looks likely to continue for many years to come. But how can we be part of the action without the risk of 5,000 bushels of wheat turning up on our doorstep one morning?
Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) track commodity prices and enable investors to gain exposure to commodities without trading futures or taking physical delivery. ETCs are traded and settled on regulated stock exchanges, the same as any equity, and can be purchased and held in ordinary brokerage accounts.
Nigel Phelan of ETF Securities, the pioneers of this type of trading vehicle, will describe how you can gain exposure to these exciting markets and with lower risk than with traditional vehicles.
The second part of the evening will be an open forum where we will be discussing our successful, and not so successful, trades and investments. Socialising afterwards in the bar is actively encouraged!
