The traders' world this week will likely be dominated by the BoE deliberations on
interest rates on Thursday, with the bulk of pundits anticipating a further quarter
point rise.
No doubt, the house builders and the mortgage banks (and so-called sub-prime
lenders) will feel the heat.
Traditional comfort stocks may be the beneficiaries, so the tobacco companies
facing their own problems in the face of the UK smoking ban, may escape with
little more than a slap on the wrist.
