Hello traders!

In the US tonight, stocks saw a dramatic reversal, with the Dow first sitting at
record highs on a gain of over 100 points, before plunging to a loss of over 100
points.

The DJIA was last off 83.32 points at 13,995.37, while the S&P500 was down 9.46
points at 1,553.01 and the Nasdaq Composite had fallen 41.81 points at 2,769.80.

Shares in London soared yesterday to within a whisker of a near seven-year high as the Chancellor, Alistair Darling, signalled that the worst of the credit crunch might be over. The availability of credit has increased in the past few weeks, so we can be more confident, but we cant be certain when the current instability will end, he told the House of Commons.

In Asia today, the Hang Seng was down 618.21 points to 28,514.81, while the
Nikkei fell 0.8% at 17,324.60.

Crude oil for November delivery rose two cents to $83.10 a barrel, after ending at
$83.08 on the New York Mercantile Exchange Thursday.
