HAWK. XTR. RIFT. AFN. DES. TOM. IMHO DYOR. It all depends on what sort of risk you are prepared to accept. The best ones are those that are actually producing. Another thought is to buy those small oilers that have large oil shale leases, as the residual value in these are rising and most of those companies holding leases have no intention of developing them. They are just assets waiting to be sold to the larger companies that are developing oil extraction from shales. GOOD LUCK.

Dana in time above 23, the oil company of the year could simply be Shell or BP....imagine what the profits next year will be...they could buy Tesco with a few months earnings !, BG. is also a serious candidate.

cobras---what about coal?? This is a hot area just look at CZA {I hold}and CDN {I sold out before the recent rise...grrr} for example if they perform like xstrata has.....
