Hello Traders!

In the US tonight, the Dow was up 12.78 points at 11,430.21 with the S&P500
ahead 3.18 points at 1,277.72 and the Nasdaq Composite down 8.7 points at
2,380.38.

Crude oil surged $5.11 to $120.69 a barrel.

The price of oil jumped by more than $6 a barrel yesterday, as a sliding dollar and anxiety about a new cold war between Russia and the west prompted investors to buy commodities.

In Asia today, trading in Hong Kong's securities and derivatives markets will be
cancelled for the entire day due to a severe tropical storm warning.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei was down 85.5 points at 12,666.71 at the midpoint.

US light crude for October delivery dipped 10 cents to $121.08 a barrel.
