The Pending Home Sales Index, based on sales contracts signed, fell 16% in November, undermining hopes for a sustained recovery.
US pending home sales data falls sharply

Good morning traders!

In the US last night, the Dow closed down 12 points at 10,572, the Nasdaq was
flat at 2,309 and the S&P500 gained 4 points at 1,137.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was up 64.8 points at 10,746.63, while the Hang Seng
ended the morning ahead 186.17 points at 22,465.75.

Crude oil traded at $81.61 a barrel on Nymex.
