In the US last night, the Dow fell 54 points at 12,437, the Nasdaq lost 34 points at 2,763
and the S&P500 shed 9 points at 1,309.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 9 points at 9,945, while the Hang Seng ended
the morning off 56 points at 21,884.

WTI crude oil traded at $95.97 a barrel and gold settled at $1,583 an ounce.
