Morning!
In the US last night, the Dow rose 29 points to 18,048 the Nasdaq rose 5 points to 4,899 and the S&P 500 rose 3 points at 2,100.
In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 212.08 points at 18,199.17 and the Hang Seng up 47.20 points at 24,832.08.
WTI crude oil traded at $53.53 a barrel and Brent at $62.53.
Gold settled at $1,208.10 an ounce.

Just a reminder, the high for the FTSE last year was 6,904.86 on 4th September,
the previous 2 higher highs were 6,930.20 on 4th Jan 2000 and 6,950.60 on 30th December 1999.
