In the US on Friday, the Dow lost 34 points to 18,086 the Nasdaq gained 47 points to 5,210 and the S&P 500 gained 3 points at 2,127.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 50.80 points at 20,650.92 and the Hang Seng down 80.27 points at 25,335.00.

WTI crude oil traded at $50.89 a barrel and Brent at $57.72.

Gold settled at $1131.80 an ounce.

Dunno but if you are long anything commodity related it's been hard going recently. Wonder is someone had just had enough or got margin called.

Was just surprised by what looks like a speculative drop of overdone proportions so I did go long at 84.5 today whereupon it immediately rebounded :-)
I've noticed how the liquidity has dropped over the last couple of years with HOC so feel that movements can be exaggerated - tomorrow may tell, or the next day, or the one after that....
