In the US last night, the Dow lost 205 points to 15,666 the Nasdaq lost 20 points to 4,506 and the S&P 500 lost 25 points at 1,868.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 572.42 points at 18,306.86 and the Hang Seng up 91.90 points at 21,496.86.

WTI crude oil traded at $39.31 a barrel and Brent at $43.21.

Gold settled at $1138.20 an ounce.
