I must be the first real idiot to play - just sold TEN times as many ANTO shares as I meant to, and they've gone the wrong way! Thank goodness I've never done it for real.

Yantraman - 21 Apr 2005 10:49 - 9 of 550

Dont get why you have to make 2 long trades to validate the account?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2005 10:53 - 10 of 550

Yantra,

It is basically to stop people just sitting there with their 100,000 in tact.

Ian

Kyoto - 21 Apr 2005 10:53 - 11 of 550

Probably not a huge sample size so far, but interesting that statistically the younger you are the more you've already lost as a percentage!

1 56-65 98,828.32 -1.17%
2 46-55 98,530.85 -1.47%
3 36-45 97,489.88 -2.51%
4 < 25 94,045.84 -5.95%

Says something about risk aversion probably! :-)

Yantraman - 21 Apr 2005 10:56 - 12 of 550

Iain,

But why cant I have 2 shorts?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2005 10:57 - 13 of 550

Yantraman - basically this is just the way we have devised it - once you have validated you can go as long or as short as possible,

Ian

Kyoto - 21 Apr 2005 11:36 - 14 of 550

Has the whole thing reset itself now? Damn, and I'd just reached a million ;-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2005 11:41 - 15 of 550

Kyoto,

There was a problem with the data from the LSE which was causing problems on some accounts - we have had to reset the accounts back to 100,000 sop please accept my apologeis for this.

You will need to validate your accounts again and start off with your 2 opening long trades to validate the account.

Kyoto - 21 Apr 2005 11:43 - 16 of 550

Does that mean I've just lost 900,000? :-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Apr 2005 11:44 - 17 of 550

Kyoto :) I am sure you will be able to make it back,

Ian
