Since i returned to shares recently one thing that is really getting on my nerves is the marketmakers.Okay,so they have a living to make just like the rest of us but not only are the spreads bigger, they manipulate the prices worse. In the last two weeks i have watched a number of shares registering big volume buys and not progressing for whatever reason. What are your views and can we do without the middleman ?

Market Makers are here to stimulate the market!
Only trade "Blue Chip" stocks with very tight spreads
VOD is a good example as is the banking sector!
The wider the spread......forget it....you will wait forever for a profit!
Read Crocs thread every day It's a must!
Best of Luck.

Not all SET stocks have tight spreads, see AZM for example. Very wide spread.
