bingobingham - 19 Jan 2004 16:21 - 2 of 7

Anyone?

Haystack - 19 Jan 2004 19:48 - 3 of 7

There is no news. It may be the reaction to tech. stocks rising or the effect of a couple of rumours. There is one rumour going round that a film company will want to use DDD technology for 3D films. Of course as usual there is no evidence of this.

I think its a general move up same with FFA.

Haystack - again you provide no evidence of reasoning. For all I know you are an 8 year old, a pretty dim one at that.

Your point is "it's overvalued" - however you provide no reasoning.

You applied the same argument to Yoomedia when it was 3p - it is now about 55p.

If you were shorting this share, then at least you'd have a little respect for having the courage of your convictions.

Some things you should know

DDD GROUP PLC AWARDED KEY EUROPEAN PATENT COVERING 2D TO 3D CONVERSION
Patent Compliments Recently Issued US Patent Covering Core Processes for Conversion and Transmission of 3D content
SANTA MONICA, DDD Group plc (DDD) announces that it has received notification of allowance of its key "Dynamic Depth Cueing" (DDC) patent in Europe. DDC is a core DDD technology that enables existing film or video images to be converted for display in stereo 3D.

The new European patent extends DDD's coverage of technologies that allow the conversion of existing 2D content libraries to 3D and their delivery in a format that remains compatible with todays 2D televisions. The DDC patents have important ramifications for enabling a range of mass market 3D applications including the conversion of existing film and video libraries for viewing on the emerging generation of 3D without glasses LCD and plasma televisions via a single DVD or television broadcast.

Dynamic Depth Cueing encompasses the recreation of 3D depth data from existing 2D material, in essence regenerating 3D information that is not recorded when a conventional film or video camera is used. Once the 3D data is recreated, it is then used to manipulate the underlying 2D image, allowing 2D images to be transformed to 3D for a wide variety of 3D display formats ranging from large format IMAX films to the latest generation of 3D displays.

The addition of the DDC patent brings to 8 the total number of issued patents held by DDD and its subsidiaries. In addition to the 3D conversion patent, DDD has other core patents relating to efficient delivery of 3D data along with an unaltered 2D image and the tracking of a viewers head for 3D display systems. DDD's 3D conversion, transmission and display technologies are marketed under the brand name TriDef.

DDD CEO Chris Yewdall said "The notice of allowance of DDC in the Europe complements our US patent for DDC that was issued under US Patent Number 6,477,267 in the United States in November 2002. We are pleased to have received this critical patent coverage in both Europe and the United States we are looking forward to building upon this both commercially and technically in the future."

DDD is transforming television with glasses-free 3D TV. Its patented technologies enable 3D viewing without glasses; supply of 3D content through 2D to 3D conversion; and 3D transmission over existing networks. DDD is quoted on the London Stock Exchanges Alternative Investment Market (AIM:DDD).

The CEATEC demonstration includes stunning 3D images that have been produced using DDDs TriDef Transformer 2D to 3D conversion software presented on NTT DATA SANYOs ultra high-resolution 9.2 mega pixel 22 3D LCD display.

Mr. Koichi Hiramatsu, Leader of the New Business Promotion Division of NTT DATA SANYOs Web & 3D Project said Since we introduced our range of 3D displays at the CEATEC show in 2002, we have seen increased interest from the marketplace in Japan. We are actively pursuing opportunities for the use of our displays in retail promotion which is a market that DDD has already delivered solutions for. We expect that the integration of DDDs market leading 3D conversion and presentation software will help us secure customers for our 3D displays by offering a complete content and display package.

Chris Yewdall, Chief Executive of DDD added We are pleased to have been selected by NTT DATA SANYO as a 3D content and technology partner. Our expertise in building solutions for customers in the retail promotion market in North America and Europe will allow us to deliver highly effective presentations for NTT DATA SANYOs customers in Japan. Our partnership further underlines the role that DDD is playing in delivering high quality content solutions for professional and consumer users in the growing market for 3D displays.

DDD is transforming the visual experience by making the highest quality 3D a reality in everyday life.

patented technologies enable

creation and development of 2D compatible 3D content;
mass distribution through television, the Internet, personal computer and movies;
distribution of 3D content on 'no glasses' 3D displays.
