HAMPSON - FLYING INTO SPACE FOR 2004! (HAMP)

Doshmaker - 23 Jan 2004 11:16

Have had these on my monitor since the 380 million contract announcement in December, bought in today after a recent retrace. Further contract wins have followed this month. Director buying followed at 23.25p. I bought in at 23p. Currently can buy at 23.5p and sell at 23.25p, excellent spread. Very confident about this one.

You were probably a year too early but 2005 should be a good one for Hampson. From a bombed out group they have slimmed down to motors and aircraft and moved a lot of work offshore, especially to India. They are now starting to win big orders, the latest being work sub contracted by GKN for the new military version of the airbus. This latest contract is worth at least 15 million.

I agree. Ever since that pert little 'W' bottom in August it has looked good and should clear resistance levels from the start of the year. Already in my own PEP portfolio.

Check out company website link: www.hampson-industries.plc.uk

23 Dec: "..Hampson Industries PLC ('Hampson') announces that its Aerospace Machining
division has signed an exclusive life-of-programme agreement with GKN Aerospace
Services ('GKN') for the supply of precision machined and fabricated components
and assemblies for the Airbus A400M strategic air transport aircraft..."

Here is a direct link re that latest GKN Contract News, which is detailed within the investor relations part of the website but not within the main public news area. (I hope they will tighten up their website management when they shortly change the company name to Hampson plc )
