Found this review on t2w site, shows what others think and quite harsh. I thought the idea of the sites was to cater for all levels, most people do get excited about what they are investing in and it is good they put their views, but as most state and is taken for granted dyor and then decide. Some of the points may be valid,

Two BBs - the "investor's" board is free. Some good postings, but a worrying number of pump & dump sharks, and some frighteningly naive posters - the latter presumably pulled in from the connection / co-promotion by Shares magazine, which finances the site. Traffic has picked up, but still a small fraction of Advfn Free BB

The "traders" BB has some higher quality postings, but very sparse and very cliquey - reflection the formation of the site when a schism within Advfn led to part of the management, and part of the userbase decamping to MoneyAM. A lot of the cliquer elements ended up at MoneyAM

the boards are similar to many UBB/phpBB style boards, but feel pretty primitive in comparison to many (eg here). In feel, very similar to Advfn of about 18 months ago

Tools are OKish, but much inferior to Advfn's IMHO - they've driven prices down by competition, but really aren't competing in quality

Thats just back biting, not a knowledgable or intelligent review (in my opinion of course) Ignore! I love MAM althought I don't contribute that much as I'm a novice but there are threads to ask those silly 'starter' questions so it caters for everyone. As in everything, people are quite diverse, and that makes it interesting. Afterall its only others' thoughts, opinions and own experiences they are recalling (well a few facts maybe) for others to read. The only thing I've found is that some threads go off track when some ask a question in the wrong thread but I've accidently done that so...sorry! I know now. Also if you get people being unpleasant MAM will step in so WELL DONE to MAM. Love Amber.
