INTELLIGENT BUT IGNORANT - HELP REQUESTED (HELP)

gurumaister - 10 Jun 2004 13:31

As a rank beginner, I could do with a little help to get me rolling. Can anyone answer the following questions please - and earn my undying gratitude.

1) I bought the most basic subscription to MoneyAM but I keep getting dumped off as my "session has expired". What level do I need to avoid this?

2) I found AFTER joining MoneyAM that I could have got my basic subscription free if I had first subscribed to Shares Magazine. If I buy the magazine now, can I get back any of my costs on MoneyAM?

3) What is the difference between the 'Traders' Room' and the 'Investors' Room'? They seem to be very similar to me.

4) I keep seeing references to ADVFN - it seems to be an alternative forum. What is it ? and where do I find it?

5) Does anyone recommend any other sites like MoneyAM?

6) And finally, I have opened an online trading account with Hoodless Brennan who charge me 7.00 per transaction. This seems a lot lower than others I have seen advertised but does anyone have any recommendations for an alternative broker?

I know you are busy people as I am and I really appreciate the time and trouble given by anyone willing to answer any or all of my questions.

Thank you.

Gurumaister,

In answer to your questions

1. To get continuous streaming you would need to be on our Active service, which starts at 10 + Vat per monnth.

2. If you were to buy the magazaine now, it would cost 118 and would include premier monthly free of charge - as you are Premier Annual, we would need to take an additional charge.

3. The traders room is more for the active trader who may trade several times a day. The investors room is for the more medium/longer term investor.

4. ADVFN is a competitor of ours

5. I cannot recommend a competitor

6. Members of this board may be able to help you with this.

Thanks

Ian
