Sibir Energy (SBE)

gra1969 - 23 Jul 2004 09:25

Any one with news?????????????? Seems all is lost at the moment, heard that suspension will be lifted sooner rather than later. Should play catch up with other stocks when it does, but when?

anotherxiii - 23 Jul 2004 11:44 - 2 of 4

latest news is on iii .co.uk as an 'LSE' posting
doesn't say anything new other than Sibneft admiting in their report and accts that other % of MOG obtained for only a nominal sum!!
in fact that quite relevant BUT BUT will anyone do anything about it
at present 'legal proceedings continue'

re catch up when return from suspension
well you might be right
most of the market has gone down while we have been suspended

and its a safe bet we will return at a lower price......

(i suspect thats not what you had in mind?)

Assuming trading resumes at a lower price, say, 10-15 mark, after suspension at 28 i am hopeful that i will have not lost all and 'momentum' trading will lift the price. Always assuming!!!!!!!

Market makers will want to create an upward swing in both emotion and cold hard figures. Starting at a discount price will assist with fluidity. This said with oil as high as it is now,its anybodies call which way it will eventually go. A lot of investors caught a cold, this was a BUY recommendation with Shares magazine not so long ago. A must watch!
