Good morning world!
On the face of it, a quiet day today. Traditionally the day before a holiday weekend is painfully slow and all of the serious stuff is out of the way by mid-morning.
I can only see Eircom (who?) and Sopheon reporting today and that isn't enough to produce any excitement.
Shares in small cap, Honeygrove Group, should be active again after confirming after the market close yesterday that it has received a preliminary approach which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the firm.
GSK settled US litigation yesterday. Could give the shareholders something to chatter about.
Overnight markets were dull :-
The DJIA closed down 8.33 points at 10,173.41. The Nasdaq Composite fell 7.80 points to 1,852.92, while the S&P500 eged 0.13 points higher to 1,105.09.
Tokyo: Nikkei - 11,191.18, up 61.85 points.
Hong Kong: Hang Seng 12,838.49, up 54.10 points.
Happy trading!
G.

So, why is RTO gaining back the losses after 24 hours of it's results and lack lustre annual plan?
Is something about to occur??
Is one Broker 'Hold' recommedation enough to do this?
Questions, questions!
Who has the answer Mr Thompson? (Sir)
Time will tell, sooner rather than later I feel.
Nothing like a good bit of speculation!
Hello everybody and have a good long weekend.
Good luck next week Big Al !
Be thinking of you if it is stormy. (I have a feeling the week will be fine though).
May all your investments be wise ones.
