100:1 consolidation (NMT)

hangon - 04 Nov 2004 11:20

Again we seem to have a massive SP rise, when all that's happened is a consolidation - (have Execs got nothing better to do?). I do wish MoneyAM would not show this as a "rise" - it's true the sp is higher, but there has been no increase in shareholder value, so it should show 0% - or maybe even "CON" so nobody rushes off and sells their holding - an expensive mistake, which is easily done a week or two later.
So write the word "Consolidation" into your share book, to avoid selling what you can't produce.
Personally I don't thiink companies should be allowed to change their share density unless it occurs when a name-change (etc) means we all get new certificates.
These shares were close to 1 once, so this represents a masive destruction of shareholder value, what do others think?
Consolidation is the work of idle Directors, IMHO.

It may help to get more sensible spreads. But this is unlikely as MMs hate risks and charge for holding.
