Any fans of PREZZO ? (PRZ)

Juzzle - 18 Oct 2004 13:00

draw?epic=PRZ&period=1Y&size=Medium

Briskly growing chain of pasta/pizza/grill/wine cafe/restaurants at the affordable end of what's loosely labelled the 'mid-market' sector. (see sample menu )

Share price has more than doubled so far this year and still looks strong. I have a position with 6-9 month view. (I'll leave it to others to analyse the fundamentals).

The Kaye name among the directors will be familiar to some.

hi juzzle,

i have also been following this stock for about 12 months, results are due out in a couple of weeks, the board have already announced that they expect results to be ahead of expectations, so the price will hopefully be going further north. i bought in at 1.20 then again at 1.65, i have a 2 year outlook hoping for 3.60 due to the rapid expansion of the group and the fact that i have been to and have had friends who have visited various restraunts of prezzos and the always seem very busy. a very good sign of the state of the business in my opinion.

Ramraid, I read yr comments and hope it comes good ( currently 55p)...but looking at the sp graph over 4 years the sp has been either side of about 35p - so how did you manage to pay 1.20 and 1.65..........is this the wrong EPIC?
I haven't tried them myself, but have heard good reports.
My only concern (and why I sold-out of Domino P), is that we are being urged to "eat less" and this must (soon?) have an effect on conspicious consumption by way of resturants, pubs and all those junk-food outlets, cafes/vans you see creating litter in our streets.
Prezzo is not like this I'll agree; but when the wind blows everyone shudders.

4Nov08 General Meeting - you'd think this was to address the poor performance, introduce a lively resturant experience, maybe tap shareholders for money....NOT a bit of it! - the Evidence of a Tired Management raised its head = "share buy-backs".

No wonder the sp is slipping, as the only people interested in buying - is the Company itself....meanwhile, the Market is still Selling....

Further destruction of shareholder funds...and soon enough they'll be borrowing money at outrageous interest rates.
EDIT (7 Dec.09). Co Ann. more Share-buybacks, ah-ha, so that's what Execs are doing.....29p mid.
EDIT(29May2012)AGM tomorrow, sp c 70p + Dir sold option shares! Huh!
EDIT(8Nov2014):- Looks like a successful BID at £1.26 will help to wave goodbye.
