sold 5000 of shares this morning,then told deal (half an hour later) will not go through as ther was a 50 to 1 reduction this morning. If I have done the deal on the net with Hargaves Lans. and it was accepted can they now tell me as it was not updated on the net that the deal no longer stands. Any help would be appreciated.

Sadly they appear to be correct, they can only sell what you own which is a 50th of what you had yesterday. Perhaps they should have advised you before letting you sell.

they should not have let you make the trade in the first place. Therefore I would take it up with them (you won't get the trade, but you may get some other perks).
