US stocks traded in negative territory most of the session last night hit by higher oil prices and mixed economic data. A warning from GM late in the day ensured there would be no rally.
The Dow closed off 111.95 points at 10,505.83 with the Nasdaq 21.97 points lower at 2,070.56 and the S&P500 10.26 points down at 1,177.45.
Mixed trading in Asia this morning sees the Hang Seng well down but the Nikkei some 30 points ahead.
Not so much activity planned for London today as was seen yesterday so time to catch breath.
A change suggested on yesterday's thread in the Traders Room, to help increase activity here, was that the thread might be better created on the evening before rather than early in the morning.
I'm happy to try that and see if it makes a difference. Starting Tuesday, I will post up the daily traders thread on the evening before.
It is likely to be relatively early in the evening as I am not much of a night owl and I'm working an hour ahead of most of you anyway. :-)

I got an e-mail recently, I think informing me that CMC recently got taken
over, and now I keep getting lots of e-mails from them. I closed my account
with them about a year ago I think? There is no info on them on how to have
my e-mail address removed. I suppose I will have to just try a "return to
sender" to try and unsubscribe for something I never subscribed. Its very
fustrating........
little woman - If you reply it will probably double the spam you get from them. All it does is confirm your address is live. Best left unanswered, I think.
As a general rule, never "unsubscribe" to spam, it just makes it worse....
