Traders Thread - Friday 4th February (TRAD)

Greystone - 03 Feb 2005 21:02

Greystone - 03 Feb 2005 21:02 - 2 of 25

Hello traders everywhere!

The US market is going through a dull phase with stocks providing little excitement. Selling remains the name of the game into the close.

The Dow is currently off 18 points, the Nasdaq down 19 points and the S&P500 4.82 points down.

Not much of a lead for London in the morning.

See you then with some breaking news....

Have a good night!

And reminder to anyone in the Taunton area... meeting Sat 5 Feb!

Greystone - 04 Feb 2005 06:30 - 4 of 25

Good morning traders!

The US market reversed course last night, failing to extend three straight days of gains, after mixed earnings reports and economic news brought out the bears from their recent hibernation.

The Dow closed off 3.69 points at 10,593.10 with the Nasdaq 17.42 points lower at 2,057.64 and the S&P500 3.30 adrfit at 1,189.89.

It is a mixed bag in Asia this morning with Hong Kong well ahead and Tokyo struggling.

Bsck with breaking news in a mo.....

Happy trading!

G.

dave dazzlers - I remember the time when BARC & LLOY prices were the same - LLOY has been about 100 points behind BARC recently. No idea why? Unless there is still doubt as to whether or not LLOY can maintain its dividend at same level.
