Hello traders!

US stocks ended mixed tonight as the Nasdaq Composite recovered from early weakness, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its first decline for the year.

The Dow industrials put in a fractional loss, down 0.32 points to end at an unofficial close of 11,011. The Nasdaq rose 1.63 points to 2,320 while the S&P500 dipped 0.47 points to 1,289.68.

In Asia this morning, the Nikkei has just closed up 239.24 points at 16,363.59, while the Hang Seng ended the morning up 124.53 points at 15,694.44.

Oil firmed with New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February, up 11 cents at $63.48 a barrel from its close of $63.37 in the US.

Does anyone know why the brokers don't use plain english - it took about 10 min to figure out : NORTHERN FOODS UPGRADED TO 'OUTPERFORM' VS 'UNDERPERFORM' AT GOLDMAN SACHS

or am I just being "dumb"..... ;-)

MTN short going well!!

dikytree - MTN is quite a volatile share - the hard bit is getting it right every time!

Eurotunnel has performed very well!! Up 18.5% today - at the moment anyway. Anyone seen any news or rumours?
