During 2005, we signed a deal with Barclays to become its sole provider of homeowner, motor and travel insurance, and extended our long-standing agreement with Asda to be its sole provider of general insurance until the end of 2009. These deals underscore our position as partner of choice to the UKs top brands. We have achieved consistently strong customer satisfaction scores and won the Insurance Times General Insurer of the Year award for the third year running, underlining the consistency of our performance across the business.
We continue to invest in market-leading initiatives. Our digital flood map is being used in England and Wales, leading to a considerable decrease in the number of policyholders being declined homeowner insurance. We plan to install 100,000 Pay As You DriveTM devices by the end of 2006.

driver, the way I see it, NU is a done deal, NU themselves have said they are going to roll out 100,000 units this year.
TFC have basically confirmed this by saying they are in negotiations with NU
I see the drop today as mm's attempted to shake out the weak..
I am very sure we will recover this week, if not more so

Trafficmaster extends contract with Norwich Union
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Satellite navigation equipment maker, Trafficmaster PLC, said it has signed a contract with Aviva PLC-owned Norwich Union for the provision of a further 35,000 telematics 'black boxes' in car unit.
This extends the contract that Norwich Union signed last year with Trafficmaster to provide additional boxes for its Telematics Programme.
The black box identifies the location of a vehicle to allow the delivery of Pay As You Drive insurance.
Norwich Union, is conducting a pilot to investigate motorists' preference for a usage-based motor insurance product.
Stuart Berman, director of Trafficmaster said: 'This is a ground breaking initiative and we are, of course, delighted to further develop our relationship with Norwich Union.
'Trafficmaster leads the way in in-vehicle telematics hardware and innovative services like Smartnav and Trackstar. The introduction of usage based services will further enhance the attractiveness of our vehicle platform.'
No financial details were disclosed.

Ford is selling the Ka and Fiesta with free Smartnav. Is this part of the Norwich Union deal or something new?
This share must be ready for a jump at some point. The news of 35000 new units had little effect on the share price.Probably because it was expected to be 100,000.This should come in time.
Other good standard fit deals must surely bring profits soon.

With the amount of junk mail I get from Norwich Union I think they are desperate for new business.
