L&G is a quality brand still under 1.50 surely a mid to long term punt?
I cannot see a takeover, more like a merger perhaps with RSA (Royal Sun) etc.

Price is slipping, but it can't go too far.

With the FTSE having dumped almost 3% today, I wouldn't be betting my paycheque on that statement, Toby.

Market is probably anticipating Iran being bombed, although the journos are saying its inflation fears in the US, but they produce fairly brainless copy. In general this has to be a buying opportunity. L&G wont get back to a 1 a share, its a screaming buy at between 1.12 and 1,15.

price closed today at 131,25 and has now broken thro long term resistance levels of 127.5 and 130.0 . chart looks positive, target 142sh. for starters.

L&G have solid tie with Barclays for selling L&G products. L&G also hace strong brand in Holland.

Could be massive opportunities here for L&G if the Barclays AMRO merger goes ahead

legal and general is going to manage the nationwides funds from 8th feb hope this helps

long term and they pay divi ,so who cares if go up or down in short term they will be up in the long term poss takeover target as wells
