Don't miss this! (NIS)

JRM - 02 Mar 2004 15:20

The 10th March will see Northgate IS go into the Top 250.

It's market value is over 375 million and that really should be enough, but nobody has stated this in the media.

A friend has bought 10 000 worth mad or genius?

Bit of a reverse head and shoulders forming indicating a 90-100p target. I bought some @ 72p and will top up again on Monday. Don't know what is happening but the chart shows something is going on, H

Something going on indeed! Awaiting more news from company about the informal approaches, what and who remains to be seen. Fingers crossed!

Bolshi - 11 Dec 2006 08:24 - 22 of 31

Excellent results today. Would have expected to see more discussion on this one. Tom Winni says a valuation of 1-20 on fundamentals, but don't let that put you off! Lol

boxerdog - 11 Dec 2006 13:38 - 23 of 31

I agree excellent results! was more expected?. I've added to my SB. long today and remain confident.

NIS may be on the move again. Someone just spent 420,000 on 500,000 shares.

kate bates - 12 Dec 2007 17:47 - 25 of 31

anybody managed to grab any after they announced the bid approach?? May buy a few more in the morn as price only at last weeks level and market didn't have enough time to react upwards. Talk of 95p+ for a successful bid.

Toya - 12 Dec 2007 18:53 - 26 of 31

Thanks Kate - have been out today but noticed their announcement. You could be right re 95p+ from looking at the chart. May well buy some in the morning.

kate bates - 13 Dec 2007 07:50 - 27 of 31

FT says private equity bid of around 100p. May buy some depending on level 2 and any mark up by our greedy friends the marketmakers.

Toya - 13 Dec 2007 08:02 - 28 of 31

At the moment L2 looks as though sp might go down a bit. Think I'll wait and see what happens

UK smallcap opening - Northgate Information runs back on bid doubts
AFX

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Northgate Information Solutions ran back 14-1/4 pence to 57-1/4 as traders took the view that the bid approach, announced yesterday, will be unsuccessful.

A takeover approach for the company failed just over a year ago, but Altium believes that the higher probability of a strategic buyer and the recent weakness in the share price make it more likely that a deal will be agreed this time around.

The broker retains its 85 pence price target, based on an updated sum-of-the-parts valuation, although a healthy takeover premium would clearly imply a higher takeout level. Given the possibility of talks falling through once more, Altium would advocate taking profits if the share price were to get close to its target price.

hangon - 21 Dec 2007 11:07 - 30 of 31

Seems a tad odd that we hear nothing about a "pending Offer" . . . . . and suddenly , we do, when it looks like it's been going-on for some time.
. . . . . . I wonder when they knew about this?
A bid requires due-dilligence and much discussion (I'd expect), so I should have thought 6-weeks minumum...but that's just my take, FWIW.

If it comes to anything I've made a small profit!

glideuk - 22 Dec 2007 12:40 - 31 of 31

apparently offer was on table prior to recent results announcement according to what i've read alledgedly
