Provexis Buy at 3.25p - Target 8p (PXS)

peeyam - 08 May 2007 11:30

LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

As usual, pls do ur own research.

Been in from about 18 months ago at about 2p, sold yesterday at 6p as I couldn't see the rise continuing, will get back in at some point as I think the potential is huge.

cynic - 19 Aug 2009 15:49 - 202 of 1204

greedy tossers like me have been deservedly nibbled!
fortunately not a huge amount at stake even if sp goes to zero, but isn't there a post somewhee mentioning an AGM or similar in the near future.

Great Thanks to spiritfinder for calling and asking very intelligent questions. This should put peoples minds at rest re the forward momentum of the company if not the very short term share price swings which are out of their hands. We are still a big jump up from where this has languished over the past year.

I've just spoken to Mr. Steve Morrison, the Chief operating Officer at Provexis;

Q.How quickly would we expect the EU wording approval?

A. That could be days or a few weeks

Q. Could it be months

A. Have to appreciate that the timing is out of our hands. However, bearing in mind that the 60day period has elapsed and looking at the minutes of the last meeting, we can assume a positive outcome in a matter of days or perhaps afew weeks. We don't see any major problems with the EU wording approval!

Q. Can we assume that the Licensing deals will be signes dependent on the EU wording approval

A. It's safe to assume that our partners are looking very closely at the final approval but bear in mind that we are the only company in our field to have obtained the EFSA approval

Q. Lot's of speculation regarding a Takeover and Mr. moon promising shareholders maximum advantage in the medium to Long term

A. You need to refer to that statement and bear in mind that we've just started Phase11 trials which our recent RNS states. That's the actions of a company with a comitted and long term approach!

Q. How would you value the company

A. Not sure what you mean by that but bear in mind that we are the only company with EFSA approval and have a tremendous amount of interest in our product.

Q. What are your thoughts on the edison Analyst's opinion that "nothing has changed since last year...."

Q. What are your thoughts on the edison Analyst's opinion that "nothing has changed since last year...."

A. He laughed first....things have fundamentally changed with the EFSA approval. I haven't seen the analyst's comments but we don't have anytghing to do with Edison!

mr. morrison was very positive on the phone and kept refering to "could be days", only mentioning posiibly afew weeks when pushed!

Again, reinforces my belief that this company and its share price are set to soar. Please feel fre to validate any of the information by contacting the company yourselves!

Does anybody think that this will hit 8 today????

cynic - 21 Aug 2009 10:46 - 211 of 1204

don't be a silly boy! ...... you'll be lucky if it hits 6 and holds

halifax - 21 Aug 2009 10:59 - 212 of 1204

cynic are you out of this one, still seems to have some legs.

cynic - 21 Aug 2009 11:04 - 213 of 1204

no .... i hold a fairly modest 50k + later top up of 25k ..... its current Fruitflow thingie looks to be working well, but from an altruistic viewpoint, i would be delighted to see their crohn's trial come up trumps - yes i know that's ages off - for it's a very nasty and debilitating affliction

moneyplus - 21 Aug 2009 11:11 - 214 of 1204

I took my stake out expecting to buy in again but I haven't had the chance! I still hold a good few so I'm now holding on for the contracts etc and maybe the coke deal---who knows! When the PR gets going, wording about heart attack/stroke/dvt prevention up to EFSA standards is released---aspirin substitute pill marketed--coca cola/danone/ other big cos which hold a large stake(can't remember who) Apart from wanting to hold and make money I genuinely want this co. to do well from a public health point of view. In a year or so I wouldn't rule out 1+!! silly me --I know lol!

Global Nomad - 21 Aug 2009 12:10 - 215 of 1204

kosyboy - it will hit 8 but it might take days or weeks. if we can hold at 5.5 today I will be happy. ready for more next week.
moneyplus - hope you do have 'a good few' and you're not so far out on price in a year or so if all the news flows positively as expected

halifax - 21 Aug 2009 12:19 - 216 of 1204
