Sorry to break into n exclusive Thread, but here Goes...

[Post 211]...That AI-employment scare - is probably the most revolutionary thing to hit the West since the Industrial Revolution, where a huge population shift was forced by economic necessity.

However, with jobs going to machines ( the Cloud, even!!! ), few will find an alternative as Companies turn to computers. Just how folks will finance their lives will be difficult - as Gov will cut Jobless welfare . . . . so after a year or two once the News is country-wide ( OR Earlier !!! ), a potential revolution will be on Politician's doorsteps. Companies will move their offices to avoid confrontation, so expect many businesses to be entirely On-Line ( except the "Lucky" box-shifters-packers on Zero-Hour contracts ), and there is the making for Turmoil the like we haven't seen.

One suspects Politicians will be pre-occupied with trivia like the crowds at Calais - to understand what lies ahead in every City, Town and English village. We won't count the "unemployed" of ~ 2-million - rather that number will be "The Employed" - and who will support the 70-million heads in the Kingdom?

Oh Deary.

Hangon - the last thing this (or any other thread) be should be, is "n exclusive thread" - please post away - I just happen to like tech, cars .. TVs etc.

But of course you are right - there has been no mention of how all of "us people at leisure" will fund our very existence with the advent of the "machines".

Anyone on here using an Amazon Fire TV box or firestick yet?

Obviously, to be able to do so, you have to have:

1. An HDTV to be able to use one of these gadgets and also a TV with a USB connection(s)
2. A fast broadband connection for the Internet downloads
3. An Amazon 'Prime' subscription

If so and you are using stuff like this, what do you think?

Do you like it?
Are you pleased with it?
Is it worth getting one:
a. If you have 'terrestrial' TV (Freeview)
b. If you have 'satellite' TV (FreeSat)
c. If you have a Sky subscription:
i. With Sky Movies
ii. With other really good Sky stuff

Check it out at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-CL1130-Fire-TV/dp/B00KQEJBSW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1442927182&sr=8-4&keywords=amazon+fire+tv#customerReviews

All comments welcome.
