VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

All's fine at VML email received courtesy of triumph1 from the other side.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your support over the past few years, we are most grateful. As
you set out in your email, we are not allowed to give out information to
shareholders that is not already in the Market, which makes answering emails
like yours rather difficult to satisfy.

As you are most likely aware following our recent announcement we are
reviewing the company's strategic options with regards to the North American
markets, whilst trying to continue to build on the project portfolio, as
always. Both of which always take longer than you wish! When the board is in
a position to announce anything on the above we will do it in short order.

With regards to the drilling; drilling is still underway in Northern Arizona
and we will be giving quarterly updates as we go along. The holes can vary
hugely on drill time and therefore it is far better for us to give quarterly
results rather than hole by hole which would also be hugely misleading as it
can take four or more holes to hit the mineralisation in a Pipe and that one
hole that does hit could mean a commercial Ore body could be present. These
are small but high grade deposits at 1100 ft depth, the annual ring deposits
are approx. 3m wide and travel around the edge of the pipe meaning you have
to hit a 3m wide zone 1100 ft down, this can take a few attempts! But the
knowledge you gain from the holes that so-called "miss" is extremely useful
as they direct you for further drilling, as per our last announcement which
was taken negatively although it was in fact quite encouraging.

I hope this helps and rest assured we are aware of the requirement for news
flow to retain interest in the company.

Yours truly,

Have just been looking at the VML chart, think it might be ready to get going again soon and should be onwards and upwards. Can't be arsed to post another chart but if you believe in symmetrical triangles, pennants and such like, that's my rationale.

Driver, re post 2015, if quarterly results update are scheduled, am I right in thinking that the last one was in early May, which would make the next one early August.

driver - 10 Jul 2007 09:54 - 2019 of 2220

Darradev
Yes you could be right, we just need a small bit of good news to send this north

goldfinger - 11 Jul 2007 17:19 - 2020 of 2220

A move into the blue at the day end.

goldfinger - 12 Jul 2007 11:49 - 2021 of 2220

And again.

driver - 13 Jul 2007 15:59 - 2022 of 2220

Down on very small volume this will move fast if we get a small bit of good news.

News could come at any time, this from the other side.

They have 4 main prospects in Utah:
Happy Jack - drilling started in April 07, so an update is due.
North Wash - more drilling going on to expand on already confirmed U308.
North Alice - permits applied for.
North La Sal - new acquisition in known U308 area. Early doors.

In Arizona they have several Breccia pipe prospects:
Miller - U308 thought to be in the annular rings. More drilling to locate exact location.
Big Red - pipe centre thought to be to the north of drilled areas. Rig being moved to north to test drill.
Red Dike - Tough drilling to date. May take longer for any progress.
Rabbit - Nothing much happening, I think.

Eastern Star - new acquisition, early doors and on private land so no rush to drill.

Rattlesnake - don't know much about it.

As half year end is 30th June, we should get a drilling update very soon, prior to preparation of interims for release in September.

Bounced off support at 21p which was rather timely, phew, kinda getting anxious there for a while.

Same here I added last week at 24p

ptholden - 20 Jul 2007 12:08 - 2033 of 2220

Do like that X trade. There is a theory that when X trades appear on smaller stocks it usually signifies an upward shift in the SP as it clears any possible over-hang. There's a thread on here about it somewhere.

yes indeed, bought 70000 today. That x trade signifies something will be happening shortly ;-)
