THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

John Profumo is dead cynic!!!! Don't think one will get many males commenting on prostitutes - their wives may have access to their computers, being a female and never been a prostitute I have my own views. One is, so long as they are off the streets and not in danger then everyone to their own - would not like to live or be married to a man who needed to use one, however their are thousand who do as we know.

Davai - 15 Jan 2013 17:11 - 20176 of 81564

Ive had her... i mean him...

*coughs*

cynic - 15 Jan 2013 17:19 - 20177 of 81564

that wasn't the question 3m ..... i was merely raising the question as to what and why certain aspects are illegal and others not ...... and they are very different elsewhere, even in europe

dreamcatcher - 15 Jan 2013 17:39 - 20178 of 81564

All under cover here by the escort agency. The client no doubt pays for extras, while the agency turns a blind eye.

Let us see if Tanker knows whether it is all under cover where he lives when he gets back from his Local. hahaha!!!!!

Haystack - 15 Jan 2013 17:59 - 20180 of 81564

Prostitution is legal in UK. It is soliciting and running a brothel that are illegal.

dreamcatcher - 15 Jan 2013 17:59 - 20181 of 81564

I do not want to see it 3m.lol trust you!!!!!!!

dreamcatcher - 15 Jan 2013 18:00 - 20182 of 81564

Has Mr C gone for his tea ? I will turn the lights out

cynic - 15 Jan 2013 18:02 - 20183 of 81564

a very interesting case in the papers a few weeks back ...... an escort agency owner escaped the "controlling prostitutes" charge, or along those lines, even though the girls' services were advertised on line ...... the defense was that she acted as the girls' agent and they were free to go elsewhere ..... the judge agreed, partly on the basis that the girls were +/-30 and were clearly offering their services without coercion

cynic - 15 Jan 2013 18:03 - 20184 of 81564

nope ... still at the office working, but shall adjourn shortly to go home to cook

dreamcatcher - 15 Jan 2013 18:20 - 20185 of 81564

What the girls/men offer over and above what the agency offers keeps the client sweet and the agency stays within the law. Everyone happy as to say.

dreamcatcher - 15 Jan 2013 18:24 - 20186 of 81564

Tell a lie perhaps the IR not happy about cash for extra duties. :-))

Skinny,

Saumur is beautiful. Stayed there quite a few times and drifted through the whole of the Loire Valley.

France is beautiful and have often teased the French that they don’t deserved to live there.

========

Dreams,

If she was a drag queen there must have been a lot more confuse men out there than I thought.

-----

Cynic,

I used to advance a defence of "sexual prostitution" as the rights of individuals to earn a living, or pursue a life style as they so wished, as long as it does not make unreasonable impositions on those who do not agree or like the occupation.

Also, thought that legalising the practice and having “licensed” premises, would remove the pressures on those engaged in the trade, as well as the opportunity to check the “health” and remedy “problems” of those involved in the chosen trade.

Unfortunately, although many, who participate in the trade do so willingly and are not coerced other than by themselves, some would continue to be “pressured” by “partners”, or “pimps” lurking one step away. (Licensing premises may reduce this coercion.)

The problem I think is that many of those involved in the trade appear trapped because of “inadequacies and patterns of behaviour” developed in childhood as a result of lousy “parenting”.

Also, the problem would be of “children” sexually abused, corrupted and “deformed” by adults into believing that the pattern of behaviour is the norm and to be expected.

They often see themselves as trapped, but “feel” incapable of making the changes and necessary alterations in their relationships, or their form of “lively hood”.

“Slavery” in general is a form of abuse, sexual prostitution can be just another variant of abuse.

But there are many males and females who are “amoral” and their sexual services are of no more consequence to them than another deal.

As far as living off “immoral” earnings it depends whether the profits are from abuse by one of another.

Also, provision should be available for those who wish to change their occupation and earn a living in a different way.

Heavens above cynic, it must be wonderful to spend most of a "working day" playing on talk to yourself thread!!!!! Gosh I bet you have to tell the other half what a hard day you have had and that you have never stopped. Mind you a man of your intelligence could probably use one hand typing whilst occupying the other doing whatever (phone) etc.
