I like most thought that at 8p, 6p and downward the worse was over.
No doubt several got out with good profits and best of luck to them.
We can speculate positions on sp 24/7 but it's not going to get us anywhere.
No one and I mean no one knows where this will finish. Sky high or bust.
We have posters in both camps.
At the moment although SEO have a fantastic portfolio of products, these products as we all know have to move.
I have now stopped watching this share checking a couple of times a day only, I now rely solely on alerts.

garyble - 22 Sep 2006 10:02 - 20192 of 27111

Does a US bank offer more favourable terms than a UK bank?

robinhood - 22 Sep 2006 10:30 - 20193 of 27111

Well i guess it is now blatantly obvious.... contracts to be signed next week or otherwise we've had it

soul traders - 22 Sep 2006 10:41 - 20194 of 27111

Patisear, such an RNS is not likely IMO. While I'm surprised how fast the drop has been in the last week or so, it was always on the cards for those of us who have been of a bearish inclination.

Garyble, ordinarily it might depend largely upon interest rates; in this case I think lenders would be demanding a risk premium.

Re the fundraising issue: given the current market shares are likely to be a no go; SEO's best bet if they are really about to sign contracts might be to try and squeeze out some kind of prepayment. Something still suggests to me that SEO might be hoping to wait with an announcement of fundraising until they have those contracts signed and can deliver an idea of how big they are, in the hope of producing a rise in the SP and therefore a wave of new confidence. Tell me if I'm being too imaginative . . . .

I have been given the impression today that finance is in place and an announcement will be made next week.

Placement more than a rights issue I think.

Betting than going bust - at this stage got to be thankful for small mercies.

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 10:52 - 20196 of 27111

Better than going bust I meant to say!!

I am in the industry and the interest in Stanelco products is amazing.

Once this funding is out the way - because they will only get it if the future can be believed-we can then relax and focus on our lives!!!!

Fred1new - 22 Sep 2006 10:57 - 20197 of 27111

Focussing on my life or H6's! What a life. Prefer to watch SEO it gives me a hope?

dawall - 22 Sep 2006 11:04 - 20198 of 27111

pinnacle

where have you been given the impression that finance is in place?

Cheers

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:06 - 20199 of 27111

what are H6's?

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:07 - 20200 of 27111

Dawall,

Can't say, it would break a confidence.

ths - 22 Sep 2006 11:11 - 20201 of 27111

pinnacle, Are we getting 'warm' yet ??? :-) cheers

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:16 - 20202 of 27111

This funding issue has created opportunities for the shorters - they have created this mess with the share price.

Look at it this way.

There are far worse companies who manage to get finance and do not have the product range Stanelco have.

It's how it is going to be done - not long to wait.

PATISEAR - 22 Sep 2006 11:20 - 20203 of 27111

soul traders
Thanks.

soul traders - 22 Sep 2006 11:20 - 20204 of 27111

Pinnacle, with all due respect, I don't believe a word you're saying.

ssanebs - 22 Sep 2006 11:21 - 20205 of 27111

funding rns scheduled for tuesday...details unkown

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:22 - 20206 of 27111

No problem soul traders - but I doubt very much you have the amount invested that I do, so there is no point in me lying!

We all want them to succeed and I was only trying to put a view forward that obviously doesn't sit well with you!

Take it or leave it.

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:26 - 20207 of 27111

Can't resist.

Ssanebs is usually accurate.

So my comment about next week could be right - but I could be lying to some!!!

tweenie - 22 Sep 2006 11:27 - 20208 of 27111

around 17/8 (i think) I posted saying I was unhappy with the timeing of seo's release re financing. I believed they were shafting PI's by giving shorters and the MM's the opportunity to drive the sp down , thus allowing select investors to buy back at very low prices.
SEO's long term prospects are still sound , hence I have'nt sold (also i brought most of my shares years ago-so I'm only sitting on a small loss). I feel sorry for those who have lost big.
I would'nt at all be surprised to hear now, that deals are done and the necessity for a placement/rights issue has passed.
This may be wishful thinking on my part.... time will tell. Either way rideing this storm, like the last.....up or bust.

soul traders - 22 Sep 2006 11:28 - 20209 of 27111

Pinnacle, I was particularly referring to your claim to specialised knowledge.

You're right - I actually have no shares in SEO and would only invest if I was convinced that this business is going to deliver. Maybe I'm just too sceptical for my own good but in this case it's a risk I'm prepared to live with.

For the record, I have been saying that this was overvalued since around 10 - 12p. That's not intended to be a gloat; just pointing out that in SEO's case we've heard it all before.

I'm ready to change my mind any time, but not on the basis of speculation or rumour.

pinnacle - 22 Sep 2006 11:31 - 20210 of 27111

My business has been involved in the food industry for over 66yrs so I do have specialised knowledge.

My client base are all blue chip and also in the food industry.

I hope my credentials are satisfactory!!
