anyone spot the price fluctuation on IG INDEX...at one point the price was saying minus 1.6p...this is a sign shorts have closed and gone long..enjoy!

cynic - 25 Sep 2006 10:03 - 20298 of 27111

you really do talk the most complete rubbish ..... IG low of the day was 1.6 mid and is now 1.66/1.73.

any recovery today is more than likely a rotting cat bounce as a few short positions are closed at a handsome profit ..... to state that that means that all shorters are now out leaves even me lost for words

maestro - 25 Sep 2006 10:24 - 20299 of 27111

so is the richard branson rumour false or am i a conspiracy theorist?

cynic - 25 Sep 2006 10:40 - 20300 of 27111

so you have absolute evidence that RB has an interest in SEO? ...... you really are unbelievable! ...... leaving aside the cynical observation that RB is a great self-publicist, i believe the article in question was aimed far more at fossil-fuel alternatives for the internal combustion engine and not at the potential of almost-bankrupt companies who may or may not have some technology that may or may not be of interest to supermarkets in their alleged interest in green technology rather than profits .... so in conclusion, are you a "conspiracy
theorist" for whatever relevance this has here, or in any other of your inane posts ..... no; you are just the resulting sharp end of a needle

hangon - 25 Sep 2006 11:49 - 20301 of 27111

Pinnacle:
You said You are in the industry - - do u mean packaging of foods, etc?............. and what is it you call amazing?
Er,...if you are in a position to tell ( code if u like)?

General Msg:
As to a cash call: I've read this here and there, yet wasn't there a funding which netted SEO about 3m only in June 2006? ( RNS source)
Can they have spent that already, or was it cancelled without an RNS?

Furthermore, if you have a good product and expertise even if you aren't delivering it, there is inherent "worth" in the potential (A Discounted cash-flow - thingy)....so I'd expect Banks to be reasonably happy to lend...and the City was prepared to pay 8p/share only in June (see above)......so where's the crisis?

It doesn't help that SEO is a serial mute.......but given that time is on our side there is every prospect the curent Execs can be kicked out.

What would be bad news is that the trials are a disaster (needing an RNS!) and Wal Mart won't touch SEO with a bargepole....but let's be fair...the product works well enough otherwise SEO couldn't have interested ASDA in the first place.
IMHO SEO went about the trial the wrong way...all this about not having a machine etc. ...if food can be packed for a Farmers' Market and comply with H&S (or whatever)..then SEO can make small batches of lidded containers before a whole factory is disrupted...but we never get the whole story from SEO...do we?
And that my friends, is why the sp is in the mess it is.
Now, do you feel lucky....?
I bought at 1.9p - not exactly "the bottom" but pretty close, unless there is an elephant in the room.
I bet those City types that paid 8p are feeling a bit sheepish, eh?

hangon - 25 Sep 2006 13:29 - 20302 of 27111

PS someone's just Bought 1million....grief that's .......nerves of steel......= about 16 grand.....not a fortune...but enough to make you cry if you lost it.....

Yet, still the price goes down...despite Buys being 3x the Sells....

Incidently I typo my Buy price; it was 1.69 - still not in profit....but...

StarFrog - 25 Sep 2006 13:57 - 20303 of 27111

At the risk of making myself very unpopular, can somebody please tell me what is so green about GS?

So the company has found a new method of package sealing using RF. So what! There are plenty of starch based glues about which are biodegradeable and already used in sealing machines. Why would a packaging company want to spend a fortune on investing in another method of sealing the wrapper to the tray? Retro-fitting would involve a great deal of down time, loss of production and a comensurate loss in revenue.

And of course, if GS is used to seal products, some of these products may not necessarily be biodegradeable - so there's that edge gone as well!

I would have thought that the true value in this company lays in the other products, e.g Starpol etc - but they don't seem to be flying the flag for these as much. Why is that?

I only post these comments as Devil's advocate just so that any newbies out there who might be thinking that this company looks like a good punt at these low levels don't get suckered in by all this green nonsense. And one last thought - be really honest with yourselves, would you be prepared to pay extra at the supermarket checkout just because your pork chop is wrapped in a biodegradeable film? Would you really? I suspect not, and I think the supermarkets concur.

rpaco - 25 Sep 2006 14:14 - 20304 of 27111

The price is still going down, thus not being controlled by supply and demand.
Buys now 2.76 x sells. Only 4 sell in last 20 transactions but still price is being dropped by the MMs

robinhood - 25 Sep 2006 14:24 - 20305 of 27111

starfrog- do your homework before you post

maestro - 25 Sep 2006 14:54 - 20306 of 27111

cynic...why are you having a go at me all the while?...you'll see who is right in the end

robinhood - 25 Sep 2006 14:57 - 20307 of 27111

maestro- i do not like cynic either, but in his defence you do come out with quite a bit of unsubstantiated bollocks

Oilywag - 25 Sep 2006 15:05 - 20308 of 27111

cynic

Don't fall over in shock. I fully support your opinions about this erstwhile interloper who claims to know everything about th future direction of SEO.

He is a charlatan of the highest order.

The oily one

cynic - 25 Sep 2006 15:06 - 20309 of 27111

because, maestro, your unmitigated codswallop makes you damn well deserve it ..... your mother should have followed the Spartans' principle of leaving you out on an exposed hillside as a young baby.

robinhood .... all compliments, whether obscure or backhanded are gleefully accepted.

as for you, young oily, please now send for the oxygen mask, though a shot of top quality armagnac will do in lieu

maestro - 25 Sep 2006 15:09 - 20310 of 27111

lol!...robinhood...i have contacts in high places

cynic - 25 Sep 2006 15:12 - 20311 of 27111

hopefully powerful electrodes to the frontal lobe

robinhood - 25 Sep 2006 15:13 - 20312 of 27111

cynic- do not push me, or i will never do it again...... No that is wrong- I will come back to you once SEO will get itself sorted which i hope will not be too far off

cynic - 25 Sep 2006 15:16 - 20313 of 27111

robin* .... as i have written on several occasions, this is one time when i would truly love to be wrong, but certainly there is nothing so far that indicates other than death and destruction of this company, either by decapitation or by 1000 cuts (i.e. drastic dilution of shareholders' funds through a large and deeply discounted rights issue, or debt for equity swap)

aldwickk - 25 Sep 2006 15:16 - 20314 of 27111

robinhood - 25 Sep 2006 15:22 - 20315 of 27111

cynic- time will tell and time is also a great healer for whoever gets it wrong -being it long or short on this one. (In the meantime I am enjoying the "leg pulling")

Oilywag - 25 Sep 2006 15:23 - 20316 of 27111

Oooh! young oily. If only you knew what an aged person I am!!
