THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I have the old driving licence which expires in 2017 so this means I have to get in touch with the DVLA then - what next? More revenue I suppose, do you know how much a new one is? Much snow here, thick and fast it will be lovely under foot not.

The photo licences are mandatory from 2015!

I think kims neck of the woods is going to be hit the worst by the snow.(Wales)

3 monkies - 18 Jan 2013 10:16 - 20311 of 81564

Probably will hit Wales harder but it ain't good here at the moment - will not be venturing out in case I fall and break something. Nice to look at but that is as far as it goes.

Goodness only knows how this country would cope if we had a bad winter.

Going back to the Romania issue, whilst in Austria over New Year, our hotel had their safe stolen - fourth time it's happened, and they're blaming it on an influx of Romanians, say the problem is getting worse, but the politicians are burying this sort of news because it doesn't fit with the 'United Europe' dream.

I have just created a new website for female drivers. Problem is, it keeps crashing.

"Have you ever seen a twenty pound note all crumpled up?" asked the wife.

"No," I said.

She gave me a sexy little smile, reached into her cleavage and pulled out a crumpled twenty pound note.

"Have you ever seen a fifty pound note all crumpled up?" she asked.

"No," I said.

She gave me another sexy little smile, reached into her knickers and pulled out a crumpled fifty pound note.

"Now," she said, "have you ever seen 30,000 pounds all crumpled up?"

"No," I said, intrigued.

"Well, go and take a quick look in the garage. at the car"

if it's an office safe, they weight a few cwt, so how did they manage it?

Cynic, no idea - just heard it from the Austrian hotel owner's English wife. Didn't go into details.

cynic - 18 Jan 2013 12:45 - 20322 of 81564

and of course, why should it be romanians who stole it? ..... did they leave their passports to prove the point? ..... no cctv in the hotel?

Seymour Clearly - 18 Jan 2013 12:49 - 20323 of 81564

Oh please - don't let some facts spoil my prejudice :-) I'm well aware there are huge holes in my 'hearsay' comment.
