Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

BrianTrayda,

apologies for that, I didnt spot the 'epic' param in the terminal, so i didnt code support for it in the layer I just added above the request.

I had *just* finished fixing that bug when ian called over. if only they were all that easy :)

J.

BT,

Thanks for the virtual beers - I will take the big glass as JT is only young and cannot handle his booze that well :) perhaps you should send him a virtual shandy!

Could you go over the road and sort out ADVFN please? they seem to be struggling. ;-)

I know we (I) moan but we do get a pretty good service over here.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 30 Apr 2004 13:34 - 2035 of 7315

Spaceman - I will take that as a compliment :) - thanks

INDU is flatlining from 15.25 or so...

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 May 2004 06:56 - 2039 of 7315

Kayak,

Thank you forr this - apologies for the delay in getting back to you I will get Felix to take a look at it.

Kayak,
This looks like a problem at our data provider's end - they're looking at it.

Red Underwing,
I've just sorted out the historical data for KBT.

INDU is now restored,

Thanks... although evidence would point to someone waiting until the DOW opened to investigate, which is later than it could have been... :-)

Maggot - 06 May 2004 08:45 - 2043 of 7315

Ian, you may like to bear in mind for tomorrow that TPT has just had a 5 for 1 re-allocation of share capital which accounts for the 80% drop this morning.

Martini - 06 May 2004 18:13 - 2044 of 7315

US feeds on INDU and Nas frozen again?

Kayak - 06 May 2004 18:14 - 2045 of 7315

That pesky Dow is flatlining again...

Felix(MoneyAM) - 06 May 2004 19:04 - 2046 of 7315

Yes. Apologies for this - it's our data vendor. I'm currently
trying to get them to sort it out.

Kayak - 06 May 2004 21:08 - 2047 of 7315

Thanks Felix, but it has remained very flat.

K:

An ideal candidate for the application of the Concorde method, then . . ;-)

Maggot - 07 May 2004 09:50 - 2049 of 7315

Ian. Just lost Moneyam completely - every window closed. But just got back immediately via Internet Explorer. Never happened before.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 07 May 2004 11:03 - 2050 of 7315

Maggot,

There is no way (that I know of) that MoneyAM could close down all of your browsers windows.

What were you doing at the time?

J.

Kayak - 07 May 2004 11:10 - 2051 of 7315

If all your browsers closed at the same time it probably indicates that one window crashed and took all of the others with it. This happens if the windows had been created with ctrl-N since they are all part of the same instance of IE. To avoid the problem you can create windows from the IE icon or from a link each time, which will create separate instances and you will be more resistant to crashes. This does use up more resources though and you will have to log in on every window.
