RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

just checking in from the traders Forum
been posting on this one a lot

surpised to see it so far down the list...
given up 7% today...
hugely long this one

Perhaps all the discussion topics are on shares that dont move !!
I trade momentum...not molases..

Foale

i read your comments on the traders thread earlier - i think most of the long term holders are frozen rigid with shock lol.

like you, heavily long (have been from 10p ish) and continuing to hold. Looking forward to the results in march.

I assume you are trading on TA - if so do you have a target/timescale? I posted my thoughts re results a few days back - any thoughts?

Fundamentalist - 26 Jan 2005 17:28 - 2035 of 2406

Some very strange after hours trades been posted - all with a time of 00.00 - all appearing as sells - can anyone explain???

edit - it appears they have all gone thru twice - are they corrections???

hilary - 26 Jan 2005 17:40 - 2036 of 2406

Fundy,

I'm showing them as a series of lates from between 8:03am and 8:59am.

Fundamentalist - 26 Jan 2005 17:46 - 2037 of 2406

Thanks hils

i think it may be due to the fact that the trades this am were listed as "B" trades and this may be them posting them corrected to "O" trades.

you in RTD?

nice to see DNX attack the 5 mark today, shame it didnt succeed! shouldnt be long though

hilary - 26 Jan 2005 17:59 - 2038 of 2406

Fundy,

The broker trades which are reported on am don't seem to have individual sizes but they do seem to have affected the total column. Weird, but stranger things have happened at sea I suppose.

No, I'm not in RTD although I wish I was. I shorted it down from the rights at around 15p through the warnings to around 3p a few years ago. Haven't touched it since.

Fundamentalist - 26 Jan 2005 18:50 - 2039 of 2406

Looks like the last trade posted however is genuine - a 1.5m sell!!!

Fred1new - 26 Jan 2005 18:57 - 2040 of 2406

Interesting, just when I was starting to feel a little happiness. Guess it is a little of making sure of profits. Probably drop to-morrow a few p to 32 for a short period. Still holding not waving.

Douggie - 27 Jan 2005 09:26 - 2041 of 2406

RNS announcement this am - results are out on Tuesday 1st March

skyhigh - 27 Jan 2005 11:32 - 2043 of 2406

Anyone any estimates for what will happen to the SP before then,? Will it strenghten before then ?

Fundamentalist - 27 Jan 2005 11:43 - 2044 of 2406

Skyhigh

currently there appears to be a seller being filled, MLSB are soaking up all the buys so we may stay where we are for a while.

Personally prior to results i expect the share price will be mid to high 30s with the potential to move higher on results. That said, last yr there was a big rise prior to results and then a pullback.

Prior to results may get good news in form of TM100 entry and possibly another contract announcement.

Also, for info, Cybersource are due to release results after market close in US tonight - could make interesting reading. I would expect they will also have a good set of results, despite losing a few contracts to RTD, wonder what will be said about the litigation.

1982roy - 27 Jan 2005 15:52 - 2045 of 2406

1982roy - 27 Jan 2005 16:14 - 2048 of 2406

got in at 34.5,bought my main holding at 7.5 topped up at 13.5 21.5 25.5 and now 34.5 I can see nothing stopping this going 50 plus short term and long term who knows so I guess I will hold tight and see. good luck to all holders,
short term or long.

pachandl - 27 Jan 2005 18:40 - 2049 of 2406

Today, HL's Penny Share Prophet has RTD as a buy at 32p - general info on contract wins and concludes: " ..its never wrong to take a profit but the shares still could have much further to go. 2005 looks set to be an excellent year for the company". I like the word "much" in the statement.

1982roy - 27 Jan 2005 22:19 - 2050 of 2406

great results from cybersorce shows the demand for on line fraud protection so what price RTD tomorrow,a lot of todays sellers may be trying to buy back tomorrow but at what price. the future is looking good, I will get that retirement villa yet.

Fundamentalist - 27 Jan 2005 22:35 - 2051 of 2406

Roy

i think you're right. Just read through cybs results - inital view as follows:

no mention of patent infringement (avoiding egg on face?)
beat mkt expectations of revenue by 10% in 4th quarter
no of transactions up 50% yoy
share price rose over 6% in after hours trading

confirms that rtds fraud marketplace is growing at an exceptional rate

Key for the short term is still the first point - CYBS not prepared to mention the litigation in their annual results!

Fundamentalist - 28 Jan 2005 00:22 - 2052 of 2406

Just listened to Cybs conference call:

2004 Results:

Cybs have more than 6000 customers mainly gateway only (1600 added in last qtr - majority were online start-ups)

pure EPS (excluding restructuring costs reversal) of 0.08c (on a closing share price of approx $6.70 (up 12 % after hours) gives a current PE of approx 84!!!!!!!!!)

Focus on small/medium enterprises to increase customer count (is it because RTD are winning all the big ones?)

total worldwide online fraud up 37% in 2004 (approx $2.6bn)

Cybs save their customers 24% of losses (is that all?)

200% growth in UK (including debenhams, polaroid and easyjet as new customers)

independent survey - 98% cybs met or exceeded expectations

$45m cash at bank - will use some for share buybacks

2005 f/c:

eps 0.14c (fwd pe of 48 ish)

v bullish on UK market

Questions section:

they have a sales team of 25 (thought it would be bigger)

85% of total revenue is recurring (15% is initial/one offs)

Asked for a view on competitors - 3 main players in payment gateway - others were verisign and authorisenet

assuming a tax rate in 2005 of 2%!!!!!

god the yanks ask some c**p!!!! most were just trying to make themselves sound smart and failing
