FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

OK you lot get some grub then back.. and on topic please.

cynic - 11 Mar 2016 08:28 - 20393 of 21973

this morning's guardian headline says it all .....
ECB cuts interest rates to zero amid fears of fresh economic crash

thus the markets' wild gyrations make little sense, and certainly make trading all but impossible

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 08:38 - 20394 of 21973

Agreed, certainly not easy at the moment.

jimmy b - 11 Mar 2016 08:43 - 20395 of 21973

Hold-up don't anybody move.. I'll give her Madge another ring and see what she thinks.

jimmy b - 11 Mar 2016 13:57 - 20400 of 21973

What would you do if she asked you what you think Stan ??

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 14:16 - 20401 of 21973

You mean employ me as a valued consultant (which would be a very wise request IMHO ), well firstly I would present her with my rate card and take it from there.. what else.

When are you jumping ship JB?

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 15:11 - 20402 of 21973
