while the "green issue" is undoubtedly today's big buzz word (well 2 of them actually), so long as it does not affect profitability, SEO is scarcely the only player on the block, so why should anyone care if they go to the wall, other than the (foolhardy) shareholders?

greekman - 27 Sep 2006 09:41 - 20397 of 27111

Because Asda have put a substantial amount of time (money) into the trials.
They would only walk away if the trials had been unsuccessful.
It is in Asdas interest (and possibly others) for Seo to stay solvent.

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 09:53 - 20398 of 27111

hope your dreams come true! ..... im(not at all)ho, the very best you can hope for is that SEO's cash raising does not dilute your share value to zero

maestro - 27 Sep 2006 10:17 - 20399 of 27111

SEO only need a couple of million so drop in the ocean...scaremongering bull- shi$

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 10:22 - 20400 of 27111

so why don't they get that as a bridging loan from their bank? ..... answer is almost certainly either (a) they need a lot more and/or (b) their bank is fed up with them and refuses to back further

robinhood - 27 Sep 2006 10:35 - 20401 of 27111

do not think banks will have a problem with seo funding once ink is on contracts, which according to seo are in the process of being finalized. Although I have reservations about seo management I do not think even they would make such a statement if that was not the case

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 10:38 - 20402 of 27111

SEO have no contracts and that surely is the whole point...... in fact, if i have understood correctly SEO are not even at the stage where they can produce their biodegradable condoms etc ..... is that not so?

garyble - 27 Sep 2006 10:38 - 20403 of 27111

Cynic,

You and obviously the rest of us do not know the amount and type of funding SEO need and have possibly arranged....FACT.

Responsible Leadership In Sustainability
& Sustainable Packaging Strategies
Wal-Mart is taking a true leadership role in sustainability. Its goal is to develop a sensing organization that is aware of the external business environment and is able to incorporate this perspective into business decisions that create long-term value where business benefits are derived from improved environmental and social outcomes.

Wal-Mart has created 13 sustainable value networks, one focused directly on packaging. At the Sustainable Packaging Forum, Wal-Marts Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Business Sustainability, Tyler Elm, will outline these networks and explain how each will help move the worlds largest retailer toward an all-encompassing goal of making its stores 25% more energy efficient, reducing solid waste by 25%, and having 20% of its supply base aligned with sustainable products, all within the next three years.

cynic- why wud u worry about biodegradable condoms- can not believe anyone would jump in the sack with you!!!! (joke)

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 10:51 - 20406 of 27111

a vasectomy 20 years was an ace move and removed at least one major reason for not needing condoms of any kind, let alone biodegradable ones ... lol!

ths - 27 Sep 2006 10:53 - 20407 of 27111

Actually cynic would be a good test of the shelf life limits of the biodegradable condoms :)

Mad Pad - 27 Sep 2006 10:54 - 20408 of 27111

Cynic,so you won't be breeding any more, thank heaven for small mercies.

robinhood - 27 Sep 2006 11:01 - 20409 of 27111

cynic- snip snap so to speak

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 11:04 - 20410 of 27111

a highly recommended operation once you have decided you have enough children .... very simple op and, as far as i was concerned, pretty well painless (back at work that afternoon) ..... certainly a lot better than for your (female!) partner going through some sort of sterilisation

robinhood - 27 Sep 2006 11:18 - 20411 of 27111

no ramping intended but for all you "greenies" have a look at accsys- axs. AGM scheduled for 10/10 with supposedly upbeat statements

soul traders - 27 Sep 2006 12:23 - 20412 of 27111

Cynic et al, my eyes are watering . . . .

Can't bear the thought - only just had my wisdom teeth out a year ago and that was bad enough.

Biodegradable condoms is a smashing idea, though - hope you secured the patent before mentioning it on the board, Cynic.

Now, what about a brand name?? ShagPack? StarDom?

Oilywag - 27 Sep 2006 12:31 - 20413 of 27111

Brand name for bio-degradable condoms?

Mawkidz!

The oily one

soul traders - 27 Sep 2006 12:36 - 20414 of 27111

LMAO! Good one.
