a vasectomy 20 years was an ace move and removed at least one major reason for not needing condoms of any kind, let alone biodegradable ones ... lol!

ths - 27 Sep 2006 10:53 - 20407 of 27111

Actually cynic would be a good test of the shelf life limits of the biodegradable condoms :)

Mad Pad - 27 Sep 2006 10:54 - 20408 of 27111

Cynic,so you won't be breeding any more, thank heaven for small mercies.

robinhood - 27 Sep 2006 11:01 - 20409 of 27111

cynic- snip snap so to speak

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 11:04 - 20410 of 27111

a highly recommended operation once you have decided you have enough children .... very simple op and, as far as i was concerned, pretty well painless (back at work that afternoon) ..... certainly a lot better than for your (female!) partner going through some sort of sterilisation

robinhood - 27 Sep 2006 11:18 - 20411 of 27111

no ramping intended but for all you "greenies" have a look at accsys- axs. AGM scheduled for 10/10 with supposedly upbeat statements

soul traders - 27 Sep 2006 12:23 - 20412 of 27111

Cynic et al, my eyes are watering . . . .

Can't bear the thought - only just had my wisdom teeth out a year ago and that was bad enough.

Biodegradable condoms is a smashing idea, though - hope you secured the patent before mentioning it on the board, Cynic.

Now, what about a brand name?? ShagPack? StarDom?

Oilywag - 27 Sep 2006 12:31 - 20413 of 27111

Brand name for bio-degradable condoms?

Mawkidz!

The oily one

soul traders - 27 Sep 2006 12:36 - 20414 of 27111

LMAO! Good one.

soul traders - 27 Sep 2006 12:36 - 20415 of 27111

SpurmGard ??

TheFrenchConnection - 27 Sep 2006 13:38 - 20416 of 27111

As a non user of pre-packaged junk food from supermarkets i try to avidly avoid such places; but due to my local grocers having run out of Humus i found myself in Tescos . And more out of luck than design i could not avoid all the placards around the food section stating a number of their veg & meat products were using a new "Green" biodegradeable environment friendly, energy saving packaging ,,,but alas no mention of the patent holder nor manufacturer,,,,but it looks as if the "pile em high and sell em cheap" ethic of " Tesco have been keeping their powder dry on this matter. Upon talking to the store manager, as to whom made the new packaging, he stated he had no idea ( ??? ) but offered to take my e-mail name and address and get back to me ,,,............,,@+,,,J....

waveydavey - 27 Sep 2006 13:39 - 20417 of 27111

So , I take it nobody knows anything new, other than cynic shoot's blanks and biodegradeable condoms are on the agenda?????
LOL
strange days.
don't see the abyss just yet and I've got my eyes open.

Anyone know any other 'player' in the biodegradeable packaging field thats got it's fingers in as many pies as SEO or talking to the right clientel?
................silence in this case may be golden..........................................

cynic - 27 Sep 2006 13:43 - 20418 of 27111

TFC .... well obviously not from SEO or the world would have known about it ..... not exactly encouraging news for SEO i would have thought

TheFrenchConnection - 27 Sep 2006 13:59 - 20419 of 27111

Figures suggest Age of reason have been actively selling on the open market

Oilywag - 27 Sep 2006 14:04 - 20420 of 27111

TFC

If that was the case the company would have to issue a RNS to announce the fact.

With a director being an indirect owner of 23% of the shares, not to do so would be illegal.

The oily one

garyble - 27 Sep 2006 14:04 - 20421 of 27111

TFC,

If that's the case, they haven't stopped selling. The question is....who's buying?

Also, with ~25% holding, when would they officially have to announce?

TheFrenchConnection - 27 Sep 2006 14:10 - 20422 of 27111

An RNS need not be declared immediately . The majority of notifications to the market reg. buying and selling are always pre-dated before an actual RNS is made public A glaring example being Chevron/ Tex sitting on one of the biggest PROVEN oil finds in decades, and yet months later have yet to announce any trading statement to the market .

kevharris - 27 Sep 2006 14:11 - 20423 of 27111

On a quick Google search just found this link to a pdf document. What surprises me is the dates in the document nad why I have missed it with previous research and that nobody else has found it.

http://www.rapra.net/absdocs/biodeg.pdf#search=%22tesco%20biodegradable%20food%20packaging%22

By the way I make it that Tyler Elm (Walmart) will start his presentation at approx 5pm our time in Minnesota. So any reference or implied reference to Stanelco will come after the markets close today.

Also see this one and once again note the dates??

http://www.tescocorporate.com/page.aspx?pointerid=987C0A5A44A24530932D9084B7F3B34D

Perhaps an RNS tomorrow or is this all a red herring?

I cannot believe that either Walmart or Tetrapak would be co-hosting with a company about to go under - what does anyone else think? Egg on face would be an understatement!

Good Luck all shareholders.
