Figures suggest Age of reason have been actively selling on the open market

Oilywag - 27 Sep 2006 14:04 - 20420 of 27111

TFC

If that was the case the company would have to issue a RNS to announce the fact.

With a director being an indirect owner of 23% of the shares, not to do so would be illegal.

The oily one

garyble - 27 Sep 2006 14:04 - 20421 of 27111

TFC,

If that's the case, they haven't stopped selling. The question is....who's buying?

Also, with ~25% holding, when would they officially have to announce?

TheFrenchConnection - 27 Sep 2006 14:10 - 20422 of 27111

An RNS need not be declared immediately . The majority of notifications to the market reg. buying and selling are always pre-dated before an actual RNS is made public A glaring example being Chevron/ Tex sitting on one of the biggest PROVEN oil finds in decades, and yet months later have yet to announce any trading statement to the market .

kevharris - 27 Sep 2006 14:11 - 20423 of 27111

On a quick Google search just found this link to a pdf document. What surprises me is the dates in the document nad why I have missed it with previous research and that nobody else has found it.

http://www.rapra.net/absdocs/biodeg.pdf#search=%22tesco%20biodegradable%20food%20packaging%22

By the way I make it that Tyler Elm (Walmart) will start his presentation at approx 5pm our time in Minnesota. So any reference or implied reference to Stanelco will come after the markets close today.

Also see this one and once again note the dates??

http://www.tescocorporate.com/page.aspx?pointerid=987C0A5A44A24530932D9084B7F3B34D

Perhaps an RNS tomorrow or is this all a red herring?

I cannot believe that either Walmart or Tetrapak would be co-hosting with a company about to go under - what does anyone else think? Egg on face would be an understatement!

Good Luck all shareholders.

So the only thing we know for certain is...............LOL

YOU pays your money and takes your chance.
good luck to all holders.

Kim,
Good of you to post the US Convention list;
however, I'd be more impressed (with SEO) if they had a similar list of Active Negotiations......
That List: - I don't think the first thing WalMart does ...is ask what a Co's Bank account looks like....they may have sight of the Annual Accounts at some time but these are somewhat delayed, +don't show a true picture and are "different" to US accounts....SEO will easily bluff their way past any difficulties IMHO. WalMart are doing this convention "probably because they can" - and it's good publicity - being on a popular Topic etc.....and may do their business some good. Therefore it seems entirely sensible for WM to support any co that attends..Good, Bad, or Ugly.

Of course SEO won't tell us anything much, and now are (evidently) tarred with the same brush as a charlatan; for it's easy to do nothing and say "Secrets"....as owners of the Company the share-buying Public has a right to know SEO is being taken forward with some gusto and a modicum of watching the cash. I don't get a clear picture.

Are you aware of their cash position? - I thought SEO did a City deal at 8p/share - OK some dilution for investors, but several million should resolve production issues, if there are any....of course we'll never know and I suppost that IS the reason for the shock sp fall. ...............just what is the current problem?

Your views?
Anyone?

greekman - 27 Sep 2006 15:22 - 20429 of 27111

TFC,
You state...."Figures suggest Age of reason have been actively selling on the open market". Why do the figures suggest this please?

hangon - 27 Sep 2006 15:35 - 20430 of 27111

The French Connection:
Good bit of research - but maybe someone here can clarify:
I thought it was generally accepted that anything that is Patented had to carry the appropriate Patent number. (But maybe NO-longer - indeed Drink-Cans do not cary such info!)

At one time saying "Patented" was not sufficient; and saying "nothing" highly dangerous for the patent holder.

Without such declaration a patent was in danger of being damaged with the consequence that any infringer can say - "I copied the non-patented goods from -" ....(Tesco in your research, but there could be many others).

If you buy a Drink Can, where are the various Patent numbers for the ring-pull, etc. etc. ? ....I think it used to be so.

On small items (Like a SIM-card) it would be impossible to list all the patents - so maybe there has been a change in the law - However, I recall tetra-pak branding on cartons of Milk....
....anyone involved in Patent Law..?

Hi Hangon,

Patience on our part as investors is a pre-requisite where SEO are concerned. Like many on this BB I have undertaken my research and believe it is only a matter of time before the first contract is signed. The company has said so in its previous two RNS releases but there must be legal and regulatory hold ups and probably timing is a key thing as all involved parties will want to maximise any PR advantage.

In the meantime we will all have to bear the forces of the market and those major players within it - who see an opportunity to make money and are probably enjoying doing so at SEO's(And shareholders) expense. I like others have taken a risk with this share (My choice) and based on my research believe that the start line is approaching. SEO currently have a long trail of missed deadlines and no orders - so the markets are holding all the cards.

If a deal is close and it involves Walmart at some point in the process - I cannot believe that Walmart do not know the financial situation of SEO as well as SEO's own directors - I would imagine they would be mentoring SEO - but that is all speculation just now.

Frustration goes on but hey it's great to have a bulletin board where we can all exchange views and fingers crossed have a success story at some point. If we do get a significant contract my own opinion is that future contracts will soon follow and within the packaging industry the spotlight will be even more on SEO and their excellent product range.

Good luck all holders and keep the well researched and interesting posts going.
At present it is a case of who will run out of finger nails first!!

I am out for a run - The Great South looms ever closer.

You might look for the 'British Kite Mark.' I believe these have a number and are registered with the 'BSI.' Good hunting.
You might be able to do this on-line.

Nothing to do with SEO, but it shows Asda are not all talk!

tweenie - 27 Sep 2006 18:16 - 20434 of 27111

well the last few days havereally been a test of nerves.....
frayed but not severed.
I'm with oily , if directors were selling they'd have to declare it.end of story, no if's or buts. sorry Frency- but you are well off the mark.
Don't know how many millions of shares are still on loan to shorters but again buys outway sells.
The tree may have been well and truly shaken, but the roots are long and hopefully soon those lower fruits will flourish...
alan, hope the asda link is'nt a 3 little piggies fable....... LOL
good luck to all......lets see what the morrow brings.......
No doubt more of the same
;-)

hewittalan6 - 27 Sep 2006 18:21 - 20435 of 27111

to answer that one about who has shares and who is buying and selling, tweenie, you would need level 3. Reading todays posts though, there seem to be one or two who have that advantage over the rest of us.

Sorry to keep you hanging on for a reply! I agree with your comments and I suspect that Stanelco bought the right to be co-host as they are one of the sponsors of the event. But I also suspect that they were pushed forward by Wal-mart/ASDA. At this stage of their development the company will burn cash faster than my wife can lift it out of my wallet, this is normal for any company involved in new tech which has to be sold by persuasion rather than by reputation. To add to my post 1015/20293, SEO have asked for patience at this time (please do not ask how I know this, suffice to say that I am sure that another poster will know I mean it!); this is not a guarantee that complete success is assured. I am confident that IF Stanelco need more cash, they will get it: I am also confident that UNLESS, and there lies the crux of the matter, UNLESS there is a major, unforseen and to my mind inexplicable disaster, Stanelco will emerge as the big name to contact for packaging. I will still not invest more until I have seen a positive RNS, whether it be for positive fundraising or a signed contract. As I write this, it may already be taking place..................or not! What is certain is that SEO have products for very many of the names at the Conference, can they sell them?
